Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Carrier Sales / Freight Broker who excels at actively sourcing and securing carriers to cover freight efficiently and competitively. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable on the phone, skilled at building relationships with trucking companies, and proactive in finding capacity rather than waiting for carriers to call in.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and secure trucking capacity for available freight through outbound calls, load boards, and carrier networks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, owner-operators, and small fleets.
  • Negotiate competitive rates while ensuring service reliability.
  • Post and manage loads on load boards and internal systems.
  • Track shipments and communicate updates to internal teams and customers.
  • Vet carriers for compliance, insurance, and safety requirements.
  • Develop a reliable carrier network to ensure consistent coverage for freight lanes.
  • Solve problems quickly and manage issues such as delays, capacity shortages, or rate fluctuations.
Qualifications:

  • Experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or logistics coordination preferred.
