About the position

The Customer Account Manager serves as the daily point of contact, relationship manager for our most important clients, and is accountable for achieving the annual growth budget for those accounts. They provide strategi and operational leadership, overseeing the day-to-day execution of all shipments while ensuring a positive customer experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advocate and liaison for Bridgeway’s top clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction
  • Expand current customer accounts through ongoing relationship development
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the industry and client needs; cultivate a core book of business for consistent and repeatable sales
  • Conduct daily customer calls to discuss shipments, address concerns, and identify opportunities for growth. 
  • Provide quick and efficient quoting, follow up on quotes, and proactively upsell additional modes and services.
  • Drive operational excellence, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions. 
  • Assist sales and branch leadership in responding to RFPs for assigned and new accounts.
  • Own the spot and transactional pricing strategy, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Accurately record all meaningful conversations, quotes, and RFP activities in the CRM.
  • Monitor and analyze revenue, load count, and gross profit to ensure budget and performance targets are met month over month. 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in third-party logistics, freight brokerage or transportation account management (2+ years)
  • Strong understanding of open deck freight (flatbed & hotshots)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CRM and transportation management systems.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving revenue and profitability goals.
