At Sunflower Communities, we're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team every other weekend on days. This role offers the best of both worlds—the opportunity to serve as a clinical leader while still building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.

Most importantly, you'll be joining a team that genuinely enjoys working together. We're family-owned, resident-focused, and committed to providing exceptional care in a warm, welcoming environment. Resident satisfaction and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

• Perfect opportunity for supplemental income while maintaining flexibility throughout the week.

• Join a close-knit team where nurses, caregivers, and leadership support one another.

• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

• Serve as a clinical leader while remaining involved in hands-on resident care.

• Have a voice and influence care decisions in a collaborative environment.

• Exposure to Assisted Living, Memory Care, chronic disease management, and geriatric nursing.

• Opportunity to grow professionally within a stable and expanding organization.

• Family-owned company with supportive leadership and strong values.

Compensation & Benefits

• $35.00–$50.00 per hour based on experience.

• Additional $1.00 per hour weekend differential.

• Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults.

• Supportive and collaborative work environment.

• Career growth opportunities within Sunflower Communities.

What You'll Do

• Provide clinical oversight and support during the day shift.

• Perform resident assessments and respond to changes in condition.

• Administer medications and treatments while ensuring safe medication practices.

• Develop and oversee individualized service plans and nursing interventions.

• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacies, therapists, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Mentor caregivers and provide clinical support, coaching, and education.

• Participate in admissions, care conferences, and resident reviews.

• Ensure compliance with state regulations, documentation standards, and community policies.

• Help create a safe, calm, and welcoming environment for residents and team members.

• Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities and support clinical decision-making after hours.

What We're Looking For

• Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

• Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, home health, skilled nursing, or related healthcare settings preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Confidence making independent decisions and responding to changing resident needs.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Leadership mindset with a willingness to support, coach, and guide team members.

• Passion for caring for older adults and improving quality of life.

If you're looking for a rewarding way to earn extra income while becoming part of a team that truly feels like family, we'd love to connect with you. Join Sunflower Communities and experience the difference that relationships, compassion, and teamwork can make.
