Founded in 1947, South Bend Orthopaedics (SBO), a proud partner of OrthoAlliance, provides specialized care for musculoskeletal surgery, orthopedic rehabilitation and the treatment of sports and work-related injuries. SBO has served northern Indiana and southwest Michigan for decades and has been the orthopaedic surgeons for the University of Notre Dame Athletics Department since 1949. Services include joint replacement, sports medicine, upper and lower extremity surgery, pain management, imaging and physical and occupational therapy. Responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for scheduling/screening for ordered tests, MRI scans and minor procedures.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for customer service, accurate data entry and assisting with patient needs.

• Greets patients and visitors in a polite, prompt and helpful manner.

• Schedule tests’ appointments for patients; follows set protocols and asks MRI screening questions.

• Schedules follow-ups, test result appointments, etc.

• Answers questions from patients regarding tests to positively impact the care experience.

• Maintains clean and orderly work area.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications

Education: Medical background in scheduling is preferred

Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in medical practice setting, preferably in a health care setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical software/office equipment

desirable.

• Computer and typing skills with a high degree of accuracy.

• Experience with medical terminology is preferred.

USD $16.88/Hr. USD $19.00/Hr.Qualifications:
