Summary / Objective 

Forte Sports Medicine and Orthopedics is seeking a full-time professional, friendly, customer-focused and dependable front desk associate member to join our busy clinic located in Carmel, IN. This position serves in a critical support role and is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties. 

Essential Functions

  • Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming and caring manner 
  • Provide directions, answers questions, and meet a variety of customer service needs 
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and consistently represent the organization in a positive and highly professional manner 
  • Register patients, check in/check out: accurately collect co-pays and balances, verify patient referrals and insurance eligibility information, send/receive fax and forms needed 
  • Data entry into the practice management software programs
  • Maintain excellent working relationship with all physicians, rehab providers, management, staff of internal and external departments 
     
  • Process Front Desk Tasks such as calling a patient to schedule a follow up or confirm their appointment. 

Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)

  • Must consistently demonstrate excellent customer services skills, be detail oriented, and be highly organized 
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, time management, resourcefulness and the ability to anticipate needs of clinic 
  • Must be adept in technology with a thorough understanding of computer software, browsers and multiple operating systems 

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required; Associates degree in healthcare related field, preferred 

Travel 

  • This position is based out of our Carmel office, with occasional travel as needed to our Greenwood, Mooresville, Tipton, and Noblesville locations based on associate home address. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
