Remote Medical Billing Specialist
Qualifications:
All potential candidates must have strong communication, organizational and analytical skills. Working knowledge and experience in analyzing medical claims. Strong knowledge of EMR software, medical billing applications, CPT codes, ICD-10, and insurance web portals and OON experience. Experience in cardiology a plus.
Responsibilities:
Manage claim submission process end-to-end through submission, response, and final payment
Understand and communicate insurance billing & patient responsibility (in/out of network, deductibles, copays, co-insurance, out of pocket max) internally and to clients
Denial Management
Prepare and submit claim appeals with insurance companies
Follow-up with payers to ensure timely resolution of all outstanding claims, via phone, emails, fax, or websites
Perform special projects and other duties as needed. Assists with special projects by utilizing excel spreadsheets, and the ability to communicate results
Schedule:
8-hour day shift
Monday to Friday
