Job description

THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

We're seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer with a passion for developing enterprise security controls strategies, making opinionated security posture strategies, and leading implementation. Enabling capabilities at FanDuel scale takes someone who has breadth and depth across multiple security domains, driving risk reduction while balancing enablement and user experience. You will report to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Security Engineering and be central in solving a range of security challenges.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

  • Employ forward-thinking models like "secure by default" and "zero trust" to create sustainably secure environments
  • Own relationships with internal teams as a security subject matter expert to enable business goals and address security challenges
  • Drive team roadmaps by staying up to date with the latest threats and Independently identify areas of security risk
  • Leverage automation and development-based approaches for enterprise-wide security controls
  • Use AI as a force multiplier for Security Engineering and FanDuel at large

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Technical credibility in a security engineering role with demonstrated impact within multiple domains: Zero Trust/Conditional Access approaches, Endpoint Security, Data Protection, Mobile Device Management (MDM), SaaS Security are a few you can expect to operate in.
  • A minimum intermediate proficiency in a scripting language (Python, Go, Ruby). Our team uses Python and PowerShell and has dabbled a bit in Go.  
  • Experience working with identity access management frameworks and protocols such as SAML, SCIM, OAuth, and WebAuthN
  • Proficiency in threat modeling risks to corporate infrastructure and driving the implementation of prevention first architectures and controls.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with a range of partners from engineering to legal across a global footprint.
  • Comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment and dealing with ambiguity

The applicable salary range for this position is $160,000 - $210,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
