Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Enablement & Events, the Event Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing strategic event marketing programs that support Momentive's go-to-market objectives. This role leads the company's participation in trade shows, customer events, executive engagements, and industry conferences to generate pipeline, strengthen customer relationships, and elevate brand awareness.
Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Success, and executive leadership, the Event Marketing Manager ensures every event delivers a consistent brand experience and measurable business impact. The ideal candidate is a collaborative marketer who combines strong business acumen with exceptional project management and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Marketing
  • Develop and execute an event marketing strategy aligned with business priorities and revenue goals.
  • Evaluate industry events, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities to recommend participation based on strategic value and expected ROI.
  • Build and manage the annual event calendar in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Establish event objectives, KPIs, and success metrics that align with marketing and sales goals.
  • Continuously optimize the event portfolio through data, insights, and post-event analysis.
Event Planning & Execution
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of trade shows, customer events, executive programs, and industry conferences.
  • Manage all event logistics, including contracts, vendors, venues, exhibits, travel, shipping, and onsite operations.
  • Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with Momentive's brand standards.
  • Prepare internal participants with communications, logistics, messaging, and expectations to ensure successful event execution.
  • Support additional corporate events and strategic initiatives as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Sales and BDR teams to maximize lead generation, engagement, and post-event follow-up.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, agencies, and strategic partners.
  • Foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across internal teams.
Performance & Operations
  • Measure event performance through pipeline influence, lead quality, engagement, attendance, and ROI.
  • Deliver post-event reports with recommendations for future improvements.
  • Manage event budgets, forecasts, contracts, purchase orders, and expenses in compliance with company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and scale the event program.
Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B event marketing, field marketing, or integrated marketing.
  • Experience planning and executing trade shows, conferences, customer events, or similar marketing programs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget expectations.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms.
  • Experience with event management software and marketing technology platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Travel & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 50% based on business and event needs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during event setup, exhibit hours, and teardown.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, push, pull, and move event equipment as needed.
