Join us, and you'll help us innovate new battery technologies that continually outperform the previous iterations. By collaborating with other product development groups across Apple, you'll push the industry boundaries of what batteries can do and improve the product experience for our customers across the world!
In this role, you will utilize your electronics design skills to design, develop and test battery monitoring units and Battery management units (BMU) for next generation consumer electronic products. Responsibilities include designing electronic circuits, producing detailed design analysis, selecting electronic parts and integrated circuits to meet the performance targets. You will work with suppliers to develop custom parts where needed and design test methodologies to verify the battery management unit design!
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or relevant field of studyExperience in analog and/or power electronics designExperience in electronic circuit design/development with mixed signal systems or relevant
10+ years of proven experience with a Master's in Electrical Engineering or relevant field of studyBackground in any of the following: Power Electronics, Battery Management (fuel gauge and charger), Portable Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics, Automotive Electronics)Experience with high volume manufacturingKnowledge of one or more scripting (Python, Shell, Unix, MATLAB, etc.) for test automation and data analysis desiredUnderstanding of the silicon manufacturing process and how semiconductor devices and associated parasitic sub circuits are created is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or managementDetail oriented and strive for product excellence
