Job description

SUMMARY:
Operates and maintains audio, video and lighting systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Supports internal and external events across multiple departments by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment for events, conferences, and performances.
  • Communicates with clients and performers regarding AVL needs.
  • Manages AVL equipment inventory.
  • Assists with a variety of production related preparation, planning, and facilitation at all Four Winds properties.
  • Generates technical documentation such as stage plots, signal flow plans, lighting plots, and others as needed.
  • Assists with event setup and tear-down at the direction of Entertainment Manager or Lead.
  • Possesses working knowledge of digital signal flow, video projection systems, video switching and camera operation, audio systems and consoles and stage lighting systems and consoles.
  • Possesses working knowledge of AMX, Dante, Q-Sys, and other systems, controllers, and equipment commonly used by the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of High school diploma or GED required. One to two years technical background operating audio and video equipment required.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiar with and able to properly operate audio mixing consoles, digital lighting consoles, video and camera switchers.
Basic understanding of AMX, Q-Sys, and Dante systems.
Understanding of digital signal flow and equipment troubleshooting required.
Excellent communications skills and organizational skills required. Must be computer-literate with basic word processing and spreadsheet skills.
This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical manuals. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings, both with employees and outside vendors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
