Four Winds Therapy is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is offered in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility and the ability to choose your own hours. As a Mental Health Counselor working from home, you’ll leverage technology to maintain a professional, therapeutic virtual environment. Our outpatient office structure promotes a strong connection among team members, ensuring that remote work does not compromise collaboration or support.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs, incorporating a variety of therapeutic interventions to facilitate progress.
• Provide crisis management services, including de-escalation techniques and emergency intervention strategies to ensure client safety and stability.
• Collect, track, and maintain detailed patient records and data to monitor progress and inform treatment decisions, ensuring all information is documented accurately and confidentially.
• Foster a therapeutic rapport with clients by creating a safe and welcoming virtual environment, adhering to strict confidentiality and professional ethical standards.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development, including feedback and supervision tailored specifically to your needs as a clinician.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Four Winds Therapy, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing a range of mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients of different ages and backgrounds, often including those who require specialized approaches for trauma-informed care, integrating contemporary research-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). We value a holistic view of mental health that respects and addresses the unique developmental needs of each individual.

• A Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure in Washington State as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or an Associate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-A) is essential.
• A minimum of one year of experience in behavioral or mental health settings is required, demonstrating a foundational understanding of best practices in the field.

• Knowledge and experience with trauma-informed care practices, including the use of current, evidence-based methods.
• Familiarity with pediatric mental health care across developmental stages, enabling effective communication and interventions with younger clients.
• Proficiency in using documentation and technology platforms for patient care management.
• A demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote work setting, showcasing strong interpersonal and communication skills.
