Job description

4-10 Hour Shifts – Monday through Thursday Morning 7am-5pm!

Trusted for 90 years, Foundation Wellness, a manufacturer of branded and custom-engineered health and wellness products is seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
First and Foremost - Support a Safety Culture by:

  • Advance plant’s safety culture through improving equipment reliability and eliminate upset conditions.
  • Interacting and coordinating with plant operations to design and implement safety improvement projects
  • Participating in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Supports the maintenance department in all the phases of maintenance, both facility and equipment.
  • Strong mechanical skills which include pneumatic, hydraulic, rotating equipment and motor/drive train.
  • Strong electrical skills which include 480V, control voltage, PLC troubleshooting and sensor installation.
  • Experience with safety systems such as gate lock, relay or guarding.
  • Ability to read all types of blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficient with electrical trouble shooting meters.
  • Proficient in problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Support Production and offer suggestions to reduce equipment downtime and improve Overall Equipment efficiency
  • Record all necessary maintenance recordkeeping through the CMMS systems
  • Assist in training technical aspects of equipment operation

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 yrs of prior experience as a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician working with similar equipment.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment does not require hearing regular protection.
