Weโ€™re seeking a motivated Formulation Assistant to join our manufacturing team and support the production of high-quality biological products. This is a hands-on role that involves utilizing customized equipment to manufacture biological insecticides at scale. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in precision and teamwork, and wants to contribute to a purpose-driven company making a real impact in agriculture.


This job will involve work inside a freezer and utilizing custom-designed machinery. PPE is provided.

Requirements:

Job Purpose:

The Formulation Assistant is responsible for performing various tasks related to producing AgBiTechโ€™s biological insecticides, including machine operation, quality control, and general formulation procedures. The Formulation Assistant will work closely with the formulation team and follow SOPs to ensure smooth operations and timely production output.


Key Responsibilities of the role:

The Formulation Assistant will:

  • Work closely with the formulation team to complete multiple functions of the production/manufacturing process involved in product development.
  • Operate customized equipment and machinery.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPS) and work instructions to maintain consistency and efficiency in the formulation process.
  • Accurately record data and maintain records used for reporting purposes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and the formulation area.
  • Collaborate with the formulation team to ensure processes are completed efficiently and meet company standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning formulation areas, storing tools and equipment properly, and disposing of waste in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Support other production tasks as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborations with AgBiTech colleagues.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, alone or as part of a team
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to measure and calculate dimensions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPS)
  • Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to get along well with others
  • Ability to contribute to process improvement
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods of time, working in a fast paced environment, and working in a freezer for extended period of time
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, and overtime based on business necessity

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
  • May be required to frequently lift up to 60 lbs
  • Hand dexterity and strength

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 8 hour shift
  • Training hours 5:00am to 1:30pm
  • Regular work hours 7:00am to 3:30pm - will begin upon successful completion of training
  • Overtime based on business necessity
