Position Summary

The Formulation Manager leads the development, optimization, and scale-up of agricultural product formulations for Huber AgroSolutions. This role manages R&D projects, supervises formulation chemists, and drives innovation to ensure product efficacy, stability, and regulatory compliance. Based in Hanover, PA, the position collaborates cross-functionally to deliver high-performance solutions that support sustainable agriculture.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee formulation development for fertilizers, biostimulants, adjuvants, and crop inputs.
  • Manage scale-up processes from lab to production, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.
  • Lead strategic formulation projects and mentor junior scientists.
  • Evaluate raw materials and emerging technologies for product improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural and chemical regulations.
  • Collaborate with agronomy, regulatory, and production teams to meet business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and drive continuous improvement in formulation practices.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Chemistry, Agricultural Science, or related field; or Bachelor’s with 8+ years of formulation experience.
  • Proven expertise in agricultural product formulation and scale-up processes.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques (HPLC, spectroscopy, rheometry).
  • Knowledge of surfactants, emulsifiers, and regulatory frameworks (EPA, REACH, EU Fertilizer Regulation).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration abilities.

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
