Industrial Formulation Technician

Location: Alsip, IL

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (1st Shift)

Compensation: $22/hour

Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc. is partnering with a valued client in the Alsip area to add an experienced professional who can turn precise formulas into consistent, high‑quality batches.

A Day in the Role

Your shift begins with reviewing standardized formulas and work instructions. You’ll stage verified materials, confirm identification and lot traceability, and set up the mixers for safe, efficient operation. Throughout the day, you keep the production area organized and sanitary, complete documentation with accuracy, and maintain an unwavering focus on safety. You’ll work independently while aligning with team objectives, stepping in where needed to help the line move smoothly.

Core Responsibilities
  • Follow formulas and standardized work instructions with precision.
  • Operate mixers safely and efficiently to achieve target specifications.
  • Verify material identification and maintain lot traceability for every batch.
  • Keep the work area clean and sanitary at all times.
  • Accurately complete all required production paperwork.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and training requirements.
  • Work independently while supporting broader team goals.
Advanced Impact (Level 1)
  • Inspect and approve formulations prior to batching.
  • Successfully batch all formulas across all mixers.
  • Serve as a designated buddy trainer for teammates.
  • Troubleshoot and prevent batch deviations.
  • Assist with PIT operations as assigned.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of multiple mixers/product groups.
