Job description

Our Food Prep Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and efficient kitchen, as well as, assisting with food prep, packaging, and storage. There are no front of house facilities; all food is delivered to our customers. Essential responsibilities include:

  • Receive and store provisions following all food safety protocols including but not limited to proper food labeling, storage, and temperature controls.
  • Wash, sanitize, and store bowls, trays, pans, prep tools and other kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen following daily, weekly, monthly and annual procedures.
  • Schedule and monitor kitchen equipment preventative maintenance to ensure it operates at peak performance and to minimize waste.
  • Food prep.
  • Assist with the assembly and packing of boxes for shipment to customers.

Highly qualified individuals will possess all or most of the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours. Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to thirty-five (35) pounds, as well as bend, twist, kneel, and stoop.
  • ANSI-accredited food handler training certificate (or willingness to complete the training).
  • Punctual and reliable with a passion for food!
