We are currently seeking dependable and customer-focused Food Service Workers to join our team at our Machias home on a per diem (as-needed) basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible scheduling while helping provide quality meals and dining services to our residents.


Position Summary

The Food Service Worker is responsible for assisting with meal preparation, food service, and kitchen sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This position plays an important role in supporting resident satisfaction and overall well-being.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and food portioning as directed
  • Serve meals to residents in a courteous and professional manner
  • Prepare dining areas before meals and clean up afterward
  • Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and dining areas
  • Store food and supplies properly and assist with inventory as needed
  • Follow food safety, infection control, and workplace safety procedures
