Job description


Around for well over 100 years More Than a Bakery a Richmond Baking Innovation has remained family owned and growing. With our outstanding growth, we are looking for end of the line food inspectors and packing professionals to join our family. The primary function of Packer/Food Inspector at More Than a Bakery is to ensure our food meets our internal and customers' standards for food safety and quality. All family members first week at the bakery consists of training on standard operating procedures, food safety procedures, plant safety requirements and powered industrial vehicle training. Promotion opportunities are regularly available, and we do not require a probationary/introductory period for eligibility for promotion.
Multiple shifts and work schedules are available for selection.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Responsible for ensuring the production of safe and high-quality products through verification of all processes and attention to all More Than a Bakery's Critical Control Points.
2. Place product in proper packaging according to the item's quality specifications.
3. Place product in appropriate case.
4. Verification of code dates and labels are properly applied to case.
5. Stack cases of product according to the pack specification for that item.
6. Efficient case folding and label application to prevent line downtime.
7. Properly weigh cases according item requirements.
8. Operate powered vehicle and use proper safety harness to clean conveyors at heights up to 25'.
9. Other duties as assigned.
