Packaging Line Lead – Next Century Spirits

Founded in 2018, NCS specializes in crafting award-winning spirits using proprietary cask-finishing and filtration technologies that enable customized flavor profiles and scalable production. NCS proudly supports a robust portfolio of award-winning brands, including Bear Fight Bourbon and American Single Malt, Creek Water American Whiskey, Nue Vodka, Calamity Gin, Caddy Cocktails, and Blue Chair Bay Rum.  In addition to developing and scaling its own portfolio, Next Century Spirits provides tailored services from formulation and blending to packaging and compliance, making it a trusted partner for innovative spirit and RTD brands across the globe.
 
Primary Duty: The Packaging Line Lead is responsible for leading employees to perform activities efficiently and safely, incorporating quality in every case within company specifications and schedules. The Packaging Line Lead is responsible for the team completion of manufacturing processes that add value and quality to the final product. Duties may include receiving and handling raw materials, operating machinery, and packaging the final product.
 
Reports: Bottling Line Lead 
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Leading the day-to-day shift operations of the packaging line in a professional and organized manner; leading, directing and coordinating assignments and activities of assigned employees to ensure the smooth operation of the process.
  • Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards. Responsible for reporting all quality defects or issues/concerns
  • Ability to work in all assigned areas of the pack line; perform relief duties when required.
  • Setup and maintain the packaging line, including starting and stopping of equipment. Ensuring the machinery and equipment used to package products are operated at acceptable standards in full compliance with NCS regulations and processes, and when equipment problems or failures arise, notifies maintenance staff of the problem(s) for correction.
  • Train current and new members of the team to perform job related tasks as needed. 
Work Experience:
  • Previous experience in beverage, bottling or food manufacturing (preferred)
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience with maintaining and managing packaging equipment
