Job description

Reporting to the FSQRA Director, you will champion a culture of food safety and quality while partnering closely with plant leadership, team members, and crossfunctional groups to ensure that every product meets regulatory, customer, and company standards. You will guide continuous improvement efforts, elevate ownership of food safety and quality on the floor, and help shape an environment where your team is empowered to learn, collaborate, and achieve operational excellence.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations; model a safetyfirst mindset.
  • Ensure all plant personnel follow Good Manufacturing Practices, including hygiene, sanitation, and wastedisposal requirements.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensiveorientation program that equips all employees with the key concepts of food safety and quality; maintain compliance with annual training requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to embed food safety and quality into daily production practices.
  • Train and develop your team to support their growth and effectiveness.
  • Manage plant timelines and critical milestones for the Food Safety and Quality Improvement Plan and other metrics such as complaint reduction, quality incident reduction, and quality index scores.
  • Interpret, analyze, and communicate internal and external quality and food safety issues, including consumer complaints, and lead corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies,including USDA and FDA.
  • Provide leadership for food safety and quality programs, including maintaining Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, sustaining Safe Quality Food certification, overseeing raw and finished goods specifications, recall readiness, environmental monitoring, and pestcontrol programs.
  • Develop corrective actions when food safety or quality deficiencies occur.
  • Support new product introductions using Management of Product Development and Commissioning Qualification and Verification tools.
  • Serve as FS&Q pillar owner for Conagra Performance System, leveraging continuous improvement tools to drive results.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Bachelors. degree in Biology, Food Science, or a related discipline
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific journals, technical documentation, financial reports, and legal documents
  • 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing within food safety or quality leadership roles.
  • Experience working with customers, regulatory agencies, and internal partners
  • Skill in applying mathematical operations such as frequency distribution, test reliability, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, process capability, and principles of process control
  • Experience with process control measurement, auditing, food manufacturing, sanitation processes, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, team leadership, communication, and rootcause analysis

Compensation

Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
