NOW HIRING: BAGGING MACHINE OPERATORS IN NORFOLK, VA!

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00/hour (based on experience)
Shifts: 1st Shift (6:00am – 3:30pm) | 2nd Shift (2:30pm – 11:00pm)

The Lee Group is hiring Bagging Machine Operators for an established food production facility in Norfolk, VA. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced operators to join a growing team focused on quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

What You’ll Be Doing as Machine Operator:
  • Operate vertical form-fill bagging machines to ensure smooth and efficient packaging of food products
  • Load raw ingredients into production equipment and measure quantities according to recipe specifications
  • Monitor processing and packaging operations, including cooking machines and product mixers
  • Assemble boxes, pack and seal product, and stack finished cases on pallets
  • Conduct real-time paperwork and documentation accurately
  • Follow food safety procedures (GMP, HACCP) and maintain a clean, sanitary environment
  • Inspect products for quality standards including size, shape, and appearance
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of equipment and workstations
  • Support general production as needed
What You’ll Need to Succeed as Machine Operator:
  • At least 2 years of experience operating food processing equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and complete documentation accurately
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and climb ladders
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork
  • No food allergies to common allergens such as peanuts, soy, or milk
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required
