Continual learning and leveraging community input help ensure that initiatives remain relevant and impactful.

What is food justice?

Food justice refers to the movement and set of principles focused on ensuring that everyone has equal access to healthy, affordable, and culturally appropriate food. It addresses inequalities in the food system, such as food insecurity, lack of access to fresh produce in certain communities, and unfair labor practices affecting farm workers. Food justice advocates work to eliminate these disparities by promoting sustainable agriculture, supporting local food systems, and fighting for policies that benefit marginalized populations. The goal is to create a more equitable food system where everyone’s right to nutritious food is respected.
