The Food and Nutrition Department on the Sarah Neuman campus is seeking a full time Food Service Supervisor to join their team!  This role will sit in the Westchester location.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise workers engaged in the preparation and service of food.
  • Assign and coordinate work assignments to promote efficiency of operations.
  • Conduct daily meal rounds; supervise serving of meals.
  • Inspects kitchen and dining areas to ensure regulatory standards are met.
  • Prepares work schedules and evaluates job performance of employees.
  • Interview, select, or hire new employees.
  • Implement and maintain an effective orientation and on the job training for all employees.
  • Organize and distribute daily catering functions.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards  to ensure compliance with regulatory agency.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of at least (2) years experience in the Food Service Supervisory position and/ or graduate of an approved 120 hour supervisory or Dietary Managerial  Program.
  • Knowledgeable about health codes
  • Good communication and interpersonal Skills.
  • One year experience in Food Service or Food Prep in a health care setting
  • Previous geriatric experience preferred
  • Shifts are 7am- 3pm,11am-7pm, 3pm-7pm
  • Every other weekend offs
