Job description

Food & Beverage Manager
Lead Exceptional Hospitality at Racine Country Club
Racine Country Club is seeking an experienced and service-driven Food & Beverage Manager to provide operational leadership across our food and beverage program. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional member experiences, developing high-performing teams, and maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.
As a key member of the Food & Beverage leadership team, you will oversee the daily operations of our dining venues, provide visible leadership during service, and partner closely with the Assistant Food & Beverage Director to ensure operational excellence throughout the club.
While country club experience is welcomed, it is not required. We are committed to helping the right hospitality leader successfully transition into the private club industry.
Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the execution of front-of-house operations across our dining venues, including the Main Clubhouse, Billows Lodge, and the seasonal Oasis Grill. This leadership role ensures a seamless dining experience for members and guests through effective team management, operational oversight, and a commitment to exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee daily front-of-house operations across all dining venues.
  • Partner with the Assistant Food & Beverage Director in scheduling, recruiting, training, coaching, and developing service staff.
  • Maintain exceptional service standards and ensure consistent execution across all dining experiences.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate service priorities, menu updates, and operational expectations.
  • Provide visible floor leadership during service, proactively supporting staff and ensuring an outstanding member and guest experience.
  • Address member feedback and service opportunities promptly, professionally, and with a hospitality-first mindset.
  • Ensure dining rooms are properly prepared, maintained, and presented to club standards throughout each service period.
  • Oversee reservation management and guest seating to maximize service flow and member satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and compliance throughout all dining areas.
  • Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, and equipment maintenance.
  • Monitor POS activity, assist with financial controls, and support end-of-day reconciliation procedures.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of senior Food & Beverage leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, alcohol service, and local/state regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, staff development initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by executive management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive Food & Beverage management experience, preferably in fine dining, private clubs, upscale restaurants, hotels, or resorts.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing service teams in a high-volume, hospitality-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of food, beverage, wine, and elevated service standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strong member and guest service philosophy.
  • Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
  • Passion for delivering memorable hospitality experiences and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Alcohol Beverage Certification
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually, based on experience
  • Benefits include:
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Short-Term Disability Insurance
  • Paid Time Off
