Folder/Gluer Operator
SUMMARY:
The Folder/Gluer Operator is responsible for the overall production of the machine and the quality of the work produced.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:
  • Set up and operate the machine, including reviewing production master for pertinent information, keeping up with production records and reporting.
  • Responsible for the efficiency of the machine and timely completion of orders.
  • Responsible for coordinating rake-off personnel, as well as the accuracy of load tags and unitizing.
  • Evaluate production quality; bring any concerns to the attention of the appropriate supervisor.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory supplies such as glue.

  • Adhere to routine maintenance spelled out in the Preventive Maintenance procedures.
  • Troubleshoot production issues that may arise and inform maintenance department of possible equipment problems.
  • Work with production supervisor to meet production schedule.
  • Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Overtime is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED Minimum
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Computer Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient Microsoft Office computer skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must have prior experience on the Folder/Gluer and be in the Folder/Gluer Apprentice pool
