Job description

Position Summary

The Floral Manager leads the Floral Department to deliver fresh, high-quality arrangements, visually appealing displays, and exceptional customer service. This role is responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, and developing a skilled team while maintaining high standards for creativity, presentation, and freshness.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations

  • Oversee daily floral operations including ordering, design, production, and inventory control
  • Ensure product freshness, proper handling, and minimal shrink through effective rotation and care
  • Create attractive, seasonal, and promotional displays to drive impulse sales
  • Maintain full, clean, and visually appealing cases, tables, and displays

Customer Experience

  • Deliver outstanding service by assisting customers with floral selections, custom arrangements, and special orders
  • Provide creative recommendations for events, holidays, and occasions
  • Ensure the department maintains a welcoming and visually engaging shopping environment

Team Leadership & Development

  • Hire, train, and develop floral associates and designers
  • Provide coaching on floral design techniques, product knowledge, and customer service
  • Create schedules aligned with business needs and seasonal demand
  • Promote teamwork, creativity, and accountability within the department

Financial Performance

  • Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and upselling opportunities

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs

Pay Transparency:


Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay*, PTO/Vacation pay*, paid holidays*, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).  Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.

 

*For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.
