Floor Assistant Summary:

Serve guests, provide drinks and refills as needed, and ensure a clean and welcoming environment. Remove used tableware between courses and clear/reset tables after guests leave.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course.
  • Clear tables after guests leave. Take tableware to the dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc., in appropriate areas for washing.
  • Between seatings, promptly clean table tops, chairs, and booths. Check the floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletops.
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests.
  • Facilitate food delivery promptly.
  • Thank guests as they leave.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested, such as assisting with food preparation when necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • Food Handlers card training provided.
  • Responsible Beverage Service license (if required).
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Flexible/adaptable schedule, available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
  • Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements and food handling safety standards.
  • Be able to carry and serve hot dishes up to 210ยฐF.
