SUMMARY: The Floor Helper is in charge of a group of machines and is responsible for the training of operators on those machines, giving breaks and providing all supplies needed at those machines. This person also assists with part counts and closing of the boxes.
RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY:
Ø Makes sure that all the supplies, including boxes, inserts, bags, etc. are available at the machine for the day’s production based on the Work Order.
Ø Verifies and enforces that operators have the required PPE.
Ø Works with the Set-up and Process Technician’s in setting up the fixtures, drop-chutes, workbench, etc. at the machine.
Ø Give breaks and lunch to the operators.
Ø Provide training to the operators for maximum efficiency.
Ø Report any inefficiencies and quality problems to the Supervisor.
Ø Help operators and Supervisor with counting/weighing parts and closing the boxes.
Ø Any other work that may be assigned to them from time to time.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Ø Must have at least 2 years of experience as a machine operator and Supervisor/Lead.
Ø Must be able to pass a Basic Math Test.
3rd shift, Monday-Friday, 10pm-6am. Pay $21 an hour.
