The A220 Flight Instructor will deliver first rate instructions for Initial, Recurrent, Upgrade, Requalification pilot curriculums, and other projects as assigned. The training environment will include but not limited to; The classroom, Flight Training Device (FTD), and Full Flight Simulator (FFS).

Here's what you'll do
  • Represent Breeze and the Training Department at all times
  • Fairly, thoroughly, and objectively evaluate and/or train students at all times
  • Thoroughly understand the procedures, methods, and techniques associated with training pilots
  • Possess, and maintain continuing access to, and working knowledge of, the Aviation Inspector's Handbook, FAA forms, Breeze manuals, and all appropriate job aids
  • Areas of instruction include A220 normal, abnormal and emergency procedures, aircraft systems, performance/limitations, general subjects, and basic indoctrination under the Breeze Airways FAA approved training program
  • Complete appropriate paperwork in accordance with Breeze requirements
  • Submit paperwork to the Training Department in a complete and timely manner
  • Communicate Breeze philosophies, policies, and procedures to line pilots
  • Prepare for and provide simulator training and ground training
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and scheduling of simulator training
  • Ensure course content meets regulatory requirements
  • Assist in standardization and Training Department improvement activities under the direction of the Pilot Training Management
  • Maintain airman certificates and ratings as required
  • Preceding the performance of any Flight Instructor duty in a flight simulator, maintain currency by satisfactorily completing an approved line-observation program within the period prescribed by that program
  • Maintain a personal appearance, conduct, and demeanor consistent with the professional, customer-oriented manner expected of a pilot
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
Here's what you'll need to be successfulMinimum Qualifications
  • Unrestricted FAA ATP certificate with airplane multi-engine class rating
  • Previous US Part 121 pilot experience
  • At least 23 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to complete Breeze initial pilot training
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
  • Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet training requirements
  • Able to lift 40 Ibs.
  • Able to walk up and down stairs and on a hydraulic bridge unassisted
  • Able to get in and out of the flight deck seats unassisted and reach overhead panel switches required per the crew's procedures
  • Able to fit through sim escape hatches
  • Able to use an escape rope for egress in the event of an emergency
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
  • Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check
  • The applicant will be considered locally based in the training facility's local area and is responsible for their own transportation to and from the training facility for which they are hired

  • Airbus A220 Type Rating
  • Prior simulator instructor experience
  • Prior line check pilot experience
  • Prior experience in aviation-related training
  • Prior experience in planning, development, and implementation of training programs
  • Prior experience in training presentation development
