Position Summary

The Manager of Flight Control is responsible for leading the daily execution of Flight Control operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and exceptional service delivery. This role oversees departmental performance, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements process enhancements to support safe, efficient, and customer-focused flight operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide leadership, oversight, and support to the Flight Control Department and Flight Controllers, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Ensure all accepted flights are scheduled and coordinated in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, Company Operations Specifications, General Operations Manual (GOM), department procedures, and Company policies.
  • Support and coordinate after-hours, weekend, and urgent charter requests to ensure operational continuity and customer responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Charter Sales, and Flight Operations to optimize aircraft utilization, scheduling efficiency, and operational readiness.
  • Oversee flight assignment and trip coordination processes to ensure all flights are scheduled and executed in accordance with Company standards and operational requirements.
  • Manage the daily scheduling process utilizing Jeppesen Inventory System (JIS) and other operational systems to verify crew qualifications, currency, duty and rest requirements, aircraft airworthiness, approved vendors and affiliates, operational feasibility, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure required information is accurately documented and transferred to applicable risk assessment and operational control tools, including FRAT and Operational Control worksheets.
  • Ensure effective flight following and operational monitoring for all flights, providing real-time support and coordination to flight crews and operational stakeholders.
  • Identify operational risks, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement, implementing solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, compliance, and customer service.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Certified FAA Dispatcher License preferred 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Part 135 and/or Part 91 flight operations, dispatch, scheduling, or flight control.
  • Minimum 1 years of leadership, senior/lead or supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to comply with all applicable FAA and DOT regulations, including participation in the Company's FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, where required.
  • Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, background checks, and drug testing as a condition of employment.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, flight operations, crew scheduling, and operational control processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and aviation scheduling/operations software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Work Environment/Expected Hours:

Primary workstation will be located at our Ft. Lauderdale office. This is a full-time exempt position. Due to the nature of aviation operations, work hours and schedules may vary based on operational needs. The position may require availability during days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-traditional business hours to support 24/7 flight operations.

Compensation
Annual Salary Range: $75K - $100K

Benefits package includes competitive hourly pay, 401K with an employer match, health insurance (medical, dental, vision) mostly paid for by the company, and paid time off (vacation, sick, and holiday)
