An EagleMed Pilot is a highly trained professional responsible for flying air medical transport missions, typically in helicopters or fixed-wing aircraft. They transport critically ill or injured patients to medical facilities while ensuring safety and efficiency in all flight operations. Pilots must have extensive flight experience, often including prior military, EMS, or commercial aviation backgrounds. They work closely with medical crews and follow strict aviation regulations to provide lifesaving transportation.

Eaglemed Pilots often work in rotating shifts, which may include 12- or 24-hour periods and require availability during nights, weekends, and some holidays. During a shift, pilots are responsible for pre-flight planning, aircraft inspections, transporting medical teams and patients, and maintaining readiness for rapid response. While the schedule can be demanding, many pilots appreciate the extended time off between shifts, allowing for a balanced personal life. Team cohesion is strong, as pilots work closely with flight nurses, paramedics, and dispatchers to ensure the highest standards of safety and patient care.
