BARK Air Flight Concierge - (Part Time Role)

Based near New York, NY. Candidates must be within commuting distance from Teterboro Airport, New Jersey and able to fly overnight to destinations such as Los Angeles (CA), Fort Lauderdale (FL), London (England),  Paris (France), Lisbon (Portugal), Madrid (Spain)

ABOUT BARK
Here at BARK, we love dogs and their people. We're looking to make all dogs happy throughout the entire world (we're not kidding). Think Disney for dogs -- we make magic for dogs and their people through our products, events, and experiences.

Our ambition level is high, the opportunity is huge, and our love for dogs is through the roof! We launched in 2011 with BarkBox, a monthly-themed subscription of all-natural treats and clever toys. Since then, we've shipped more than 70 million toys and treats to dogs across the world and use all of that direct customer feedback to inform new initiatives and ways to make magic between dogs and their people. We've since expanded into other offerings as well, as we aim to become THE Dog Company for every family with a four-legged, belly-scratch-loving, interspecies family member.

THE TEAM
The BARK Air team is responsible for the strategy and implementation of curating the premier truly "dogs first" flight experience in the travel industry. This team will focus on developing unique care and experiences during pre-booking, ground, flight and arrival.

WHO WE'RE SNIFFING FOR
At BARK Air, our sky-high mission is to roll out the red carpet for all our two-legged and four-legged passengers. Picture this role as the ultimate blend of concierge and canine caretaker, where every day is about ensuring tails are wagging at cruising altitude.

As a dog-loving member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

Pup Wellness Consultant: You'll be an expert of dog behavior and able to navigate pup dynamics in small spaces to ensure a safe environment for passengers. Ability to assist with pup consultations, handling dogs with care and professionalism. Open to providing in-air care to pups.

Creating Positive Relationships: Your friendly demeanor and cooperative spirit will ensure that every interaction with humans, dogs and BARK Air partners leaves a lasting positive impression.
Best In Class Customer Experiences: As the face of our company, you'll deliver legendary customer service to pups and dog parents traveling and those in need of baggage assistance and handling. Your keen eye for detail and proactive action to our customers' needs are mission-critical and will make their journey a delightfully memorable one.
Seamless Journey Management: You're the orchestrator of smooth operations, from the moment passengers check in to the time they collect their luggage. You'll be the hero at the curbside, the guru in the lounge, and the guardian in the skies, ensuring every part of the BARK Air voyage seamless and breezy.
Navigating the Unexpected: Flight delays, misplaced toys, or a surprise case of the zoomies - you handle it all with grace and agility, making sure every bump in the road (or air) is smoothed over with BARK Air's trademark care and attention.
Being the Know-It-All (In The Best Way): From the latest in fare deals to the schedule of our next dog-friendly destination, you're the encyclopedia of all things BARK Air, ready and eager to share your knowledge.
Adaptability: Duties may vary depending on passenger and business needs, requiring flexibility and a willingness to assist where needed is a must.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
Dog Behavior & Medical Knowledge: Confidently manage dogs in group settings, preventing or addressing any potential conflicts.
Customer Service Training: Completion of BARK Air Concierge training program, demonstrating your ability to handle various situations.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interacting with our BARK Air passengers and team members.
Computer Proficiency: Ability to use computer systems efficiently, such as Google Suite, Slack, Expensify, Navan, Whatsapp.
Attention to Detail: Prep work pre-flight, memorizing passenger lists, noting down preferences, sharing in-depth debriefs.
Independence & Teamwork: As the sole BARK Air representative for passengers in person and in the skies, you'll be responsible for ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience from start to finish.
Physical Requirements: Meeting any physical ability requirements listed in the job description, including working within limited spaces and under tight time constraints.
Emergency Preparedness: Being aware of potential hazards and the ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
Professional Appearance: Presenting a well-groomed appearance in accordance with BARK Air uniform and standards.
A Government Issued Passport: To travel internationally.

Physical Requirements
Candidates may need to assist with handling pups with mobility issues or passenger luggage. Candidates should demonstrate the capability to regularly lift and/or relocate objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
Candidates should be capable of climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing frequently and for extended durations.

Ability to Travel Domestically & Internationally on 4 - 10 flights per month

Overall, we're looking for someone who loves dogs and embodies our commitment to exceptional customer experience, teamwork, and serving others. If you're passionate about providing top-notch travel experiences for pups and dog parents, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we'd love to have you on our team!

EXPERIENCE
