Fisher Phillips, a national employment and labor law firm, is seeking an experienced Word Processor/Legal Administrative Assistant for its Irvine office. Position Summary

The Word Processor works in a team-oriented environment and is responsible for providing first-class legal administrative support to the firm, including attorneys, paralegals, secretaries and others. This individual must make sound judgments handling work and communicating with others.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and format documents using a variety of applications.
  • Input and revise all MS Office Documents.
  • Create master captions/Proofs of Service for new matters, and responsive shells as needed.
  • OCR documents; convert, clean and format documents to/from different file formats.
  • Create Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities within existing legal documents, using appropriate formatting, coding, and related software.
  • Have the ability to perform merge applications, macros and special command functions as well as a general knowledge of other software packages and applications including Adobe Acrobat.
  • Quality Check all work performed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • College course work/ or legal secretarial field or equivalent combination of experience/training in other non-related field is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Professional.
  • iManage Work (DeskSite) or other comparable document management system experience preferred.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks quickly and thoroughly with a high degree of accuracy and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as a productive team member, contributing to the concept of continuous improvement of the department and its service offerings.

The hourly rate range for this position is $ 39.00- $46.00. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
