What is a Flexible Postpartum RN?

A Flexible Postpartum RN is a registered nurse who provides care to mothers and newborns after childbirth, typically working flexible or per diem shifts rather than a fixed schedule. These nurses monitor the physical and emotional well-being of both mother and baby, assist with breastfeeding, educate new parents, and manage any complications arising after delivery. Their flexibility allows hospitals and clinics to adjust staffing based on patient needs, ensuring quality care during the postpartum period.
