Description
  • Assess and evaluate patients ranging from infants to elderly individuals utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create individualized treatment plans tailored to short and long-term communication or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions focusing on areas like communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate extensively with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families to empower them in their recovery journey beyond our clinical interactions.
  • Provide speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed within inpatient settings, maintaining a seamless care experience.
  • Document treatment activities in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by staying updated on the latest advances in the field of speech-language pathology.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology accredited by a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary if not already ASHA-certified.
Certifications
