How to get into the insurance business with no experience?

To start as a No Experience Insurance Review Specialist, you should obtain a state insurance license, which often requires completing pre-licensing courses and passing an exam. What field of SLP makes the most money?

In speech-language pathology, the highest-paying roles typically involve specialized areas such as audiology, swallowing disorders, or working in healthcare administration. SLPs with advanced certifications, experience, or those working in hospitals and private clinics tend to earn higher salaries. Salary can also vary based on geographic location and level of education.

Will SLP be replaced by AI?

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are unlikely to be fully replaced by AI, as their work involves complex communication assessments, personalized therapy, and human interaction that AI cannot replicate. AI tools can assist SLPs by providing data analysis and therapy resources, but the profession relies heavily on clinical judgment and empathy. SLPs will continue to play a vital role in patient care, often integrating technology into their practice.

Is speech pathology an oversaturated field?

Speech pathology is a competitive but growing field with steady demand for qualified professionals, especially those with strong communication skills and relevant certifications. Job opportunities can vary by region and specialization, but overall, the field offers stable employment prospects for new graduates and those with no experience, particularly in healthcare and educational settings.

What challenges might I encounter as a No Experience Insurance Review SLP, and how can I prepare for them?

As a No Experience Insurance Review Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you may find it challenging to quickly learn insurance terminology, documentation requirements, and the nuances of medical necessity reviews. Adapting to the pace and attention to detail required for reviewing insurance claims can also be demanding. To prepare, familiarize yourself with common insurance policies, review sample documentation, and seek mentorship from experienced colleagues. Most teams provide structured onboarding and ongoing support, so taking advantage of training opportunities will help you transition smoothly.

What is a No Experience Insurance Review SLP?

A No Experience Insurance Review SLP refers to a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position that involves reviewing insurance documentation or claims, and is open to candidates who do not have prior experience in insurance review. In this role, SLPs help ensure that patient documentation meets insurance requirements for coverage of speech therapy services. This job may include reviewing clinical notes, submitting pre-authorization requests, and communicating with insurance companies. Training is often provided, making it accessible for new graduates or SLPs transitioning from clinical roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a No Experience Insurance Review SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist), and why are they important?

To thrive as an Insurance Review SLP with no prior experience, you need a master's degree in speech-language pathology, SLP licensure, and a foundational understanding of clinical documentation and insurance processes. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), insurance billing systems, and relevant coding practices (such as ICD-10 and CPT codes) is typically required. Strong attention to detail, written communication, and organizational skills help you efficiently review documentation and justify medical necessity. These skills ensure accurate insurance approvals, reduce denials, and support timely patient care.

Insurance Agent | No Experience Required

William Tuttle Agency

Owatonna, MN • On-site

$45K - $62K/yr

Full-time

Posted 4 days ago

Job description

The William Tuttle Agency was the first Farmers Insurance agency in the southern Minnesota district to break $100,000 in production in a single month. And we're just getting started. We're actively expanding our team of producers, and our goal is to become one of the largest Farmers agencies in southern Minnesota over the next few years.

We protect individuals, families, and businesses with Auto, Home, Life, and Business insurance. We provide the leads, the training, the systems, and the Farmers brand. You bring the work ethic and the hunger to win.

This is not a desk job where you clock in and collect a check. This is a performance-driven role where your income is a direct reflection of your effort. If that sounds like something you want to be part of, keep reading.

COMPENSATION

We believe the people who produce the most should earn the most. That's how we built this agency, and that's how we pay. Our compensation is built around rewarding results, not time in a chair.

  • Uncapped commission on every policy you write. The more you close, the more you earn. There is no cap.

  • Renewal commissions on your entire book of business. Every policy pays you again each time it renews. Year after year.

  • Performance bonuses based on individual and agency production milestones

  • Flexible compensation plans tailored to how you want to build your career here. We'll walk you through the options during the interview.

First-year producers who follow our process and stay consistent can expect to earn $40,000 to $60,000+, with income growing significantly as your book of business compounds. There is no ceiling on what you can earn here.

Every policy you write is an asset. Your book of business grows each year, and so does your renewal income. You're not just earning a paycheck. You're building a compounding income stream.

The best part is you get all the income upside of running your own agency without the startup risk, the overhead, or the financial exposure. We provide the infrastructure. You focus on selling and building your book.

OUR CULTURE

We run a competitive, winning culture where the standard is results, and the environment is one where people genuinely want to see each other succeed. We hold each other accountable, celebrate performance, and invest deeply in the people on our team.

We're a growth-obsessed team. Every morning, we invest time in personal development. We watch self-improvement content together, sharpen our mindset, and get locked in before the day starts. We believe that if you're growing as a person, you're growing as a producer. That culture of constant improvement is what separates us from every other agency out there.

We are not a passive, maintenance-based agency. We move fast, coach hard, and reward people who show up ready to work. If that sounds like your kind of place, you're in the right spot.

CAREER GROWTH

We develop our team members into leaders. Your path here can go wherever your ambition takes you.

  • Sales Producer > Senior Producer > Agency Leadership
  • Access to the Farmers' Protg Program, which is a structured pathway to owning your own Farmers Insurance agency
  • Ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and skill development built into your role

Advancement isn't just possible here. It's expected.

BENEFITS

  • Uncapped commission on every policy you write, with no ceiling on what you can earn
  • Renewal (residual) commissions that compound as your book of business grows
  • Performance bonuses for hitting production milestones
  • 100% of licensing costs covered, so we pay for your P&C license
  • Comprehensive paid training and ongoing coaching
  • Fully remote or hybrid schedule, so you can work from anywhere in Minnesota
  • In-office positions also available at our Owatonna location
  • Paid Audible subscription, because we invest in your growth, on us
  • Personal development culture built into every morning. We start the day sharpening our mindset together.
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
  • Backing of Farmers Insurance, one of the largest and most recognized carriers in the country

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will I have to buy my own leads or cold call friends and family?

Absolutely not. We provide all of the leads. Inbound calls, live transfers, and digital leads are all provided by the agency. You will never be asked to pressure your personal network. You show up, work the leads, and close business.

Is prior insurance experience required?

No. You don't need to know anything about insurance to apply. We cover 100% of your licensing costs and provide comprehensive product and sales training before you ever speak with a client. What matters is your attitude, your coachability, and your drive to succeed.

How does compensation work?

Your income is directly tied to your activity and production, and there's no ceiling. You earn commission on every policy you close and renewal commissions every time those policies renew. We offer flexible compensation plans designed around how you want to build your career, and we'll walk you through your options during the interview process. First-year producers who follow our system and stay consistent typically earn $40,000 to $60,000+, with income growing significantly as your book compounds.

Do I earn money on policies after the first year?

Yes, and this is one of the things that sets us apart. You earn renewal commissions on every policy in your book each time it renews. The longer you're here and the more policies you write, the more your renewal income compounds. It's one of the most powerful earning structures in the industry.

What does the training look like?

We invest heavily in our team. You'll receive hands-on product training, sales process coaching based on a proven framework, and real-time feedback from experienced producers and agency leadership. Training doesn't stop after onboarding. We coach continuously throughout your career here.

Is this a remote position?

Yes, this role is fully remote. You can work from anywhere in Minnesota. We also have in-office positions available at our Owatonna location if you prefer that environment. Either way, you'll have everything you need to succeed from day one. A CRM, leads, training, and a team behind you.

What does a typical day look like?

Your day starts with a team huddle where we review goals, watch a personal development video together, and get our mindset right for the day. From there, you're working leads. Taking inbound calls, following up with prospects, quoting policies, and closing business. You'll have coaching check-ins throughout the week and access to leadership anytime you need support. The pace is fast, the energy is high, and every day you're building your book and your income.

What does career growth look like?

Every producer has access to a clear advancement track. You start as a Sales Producer, move to Senior Producer, and then into agency leadership. High performers also have access to the Farmers Protg Program, which is a structured pathway to owning and operating your own Farmers Insurance agency.
