Job description

Graduate Civil Engineer - Land Development
Halff has an opening for a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Houston, TX office for our Land Development team. The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in Land Development design. This opportunity offers an excellent career development opportunity for someone looking to grow with Halff, with potential for not only business and personal growth, but ownership in the firm. Graduate Civil Engineer - Land Development Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and design of Land Development projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
  • Perform schematic design work, calculations and analysis for design projects
  • Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors and contractors
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

Graduate Civil Engineer - Land Development Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable Driving Record
  • The ability to obtain an EIT Certificate within one (1) year of start date
  • Technical experience with CADD

Graduate Civil Engineer - Land Development Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in Land Development projects (New graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Knowledge of local codes and design criteria
