Job description

Role Overview

Flex is transforming the traditional, fragmented $90B+ moving, storage, and last-mile delivery industry into a seamless, technology-driven experience. As Principal Product Manager, you will own a core product area within Flex's platform, partnering closely with a lean, senior engineering team to translate complex operational challenges into scalable product solutions. You'll bring structure and rigor to a high-ambiguity space, balancing speed with long-term platform health.

This role is open to USA remote, with need-based travel to our offices. Regardless of location, you’ll be expected to work EST hours.

Core Responsibilities

  • Product Roadmap: Define and drive the roadmap for your product area, aligning it with company-wide growth goals.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work day-to-day with a senior engineering team to translate business and operational requirements into clear technical specs, balancing speed with long-term architectural health.
  • Operational Feedback Loops: Build tight feedback loops with operations and support teams to identify friction points and prioritize fixes that improve reliability and reduce churn.
  • Data-Driven Iteration: Define and track the metrics that matter for your product area, and drive a roadmap grounded in those numbers, not intuition.
  • Executive Communication: Clearly communicate product strategy, tradeoffs, and progress to leadership, ensuring alignment across a fast-moving organization.

Key Requirements

  • Deep Product Expertise: 10+ years of product management experience which must include a track record of owning and growing a product at scale.
  • Industry & Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of 2-sided marketplace operations, gig worker platforms, e-commerce online to offline workflows, and the technology stacks that power them.
  • Strategic & Analytical Intelligence: Proven ability to translate complex business problems into actionable product specifications using data-driven insights. Strong track record of utilizing deep analytical intelligence to track product performance, and rapidly iterating to optimize the products. Familiarity with user behavior analytics tools is required.
  • Technical Acumen: Experience working with engineering teams on service-oriented architectures, APIs, and data-driven systems without necessarily being a coder.
  • People Intelligence & Influence: Exceptional ability to lead by influence within the organization.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is a bonus.
