Location: Remotely with Preference of Dallas, Columbus and Chicago, New Jersey or PA  - This position may be performed remotely in states where the company is authorized to employ individuals. 

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $105,000 - $157,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Employment Logistics: 

The Industrial Engineer Senior Specialist serves as the regional owner of engineering standardization, responsible for creating, maintaining, and auditing standardized methods for facility design, dock layouts, sort point allocation, routing logic, staffing models, material flow, process documentation, visual management, and operating procedures. The role partners with regional operations to identify deviations from standard work, implement engineered solutions, and ensure consistent execution that improves network throughput, labor efficiency, service quality, and operational scalability.

The Must-Haves:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Advanced knowledge of industrial engineering principles, process standardization, labor planning, facility layout, capacity modeling, and continuous improvement methodologies in high-volume sortation and distribution environments. 

  • Working knowledge of sortation operations, material flow, dock operations, transportation processes, and material handling systems, with the ability to develop standardized operating methods and engineered solutions.

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, with travel increasing to up to 50% based on business needs, project deployments, and operational support requirements.


Your Mission in Motion:
 

A summary of key responsibilities for the role is outlined below. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business objectives. 

  • Engineering Standardization & Network Design: Develop, implement, and maintain standardized engineering methods, facility layouts, sort point designs, dock assignments, material flow strategies, labor models, and operating practices across regional sortation and distribution facilities to ensure consistent execution and scalable operations.

  • Operational Support, Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Partner with regional operations to identify process variation, analyze operational performance, conduct root cause analysis, and develop standardized corrective actions that improve throughput, labor productivity, service quality, and cost performance while ensuring sustainable execution. 

  • Network Optimization & Capacity Planning: Lead engineering initiatives that optimize facility capacity, trailer utilization, cross-dock operations, routing strategies, sort point allocation, and package flow through data analysis, modeling, and engineered solutions that support network growth and operational efficiency. 

  • Engineering Documentation & Governance: Develop, maintain, and govern engineering documentation, including standard work, process flows, facility layouts, labor standards, operating procedures, visual management tools, and engineering design standards to ensure consistent implementation across all facilities. 

  • Operational Readiness, Compliance & Best Practices: Conduct engineering assessments, operational audits, and site reviews to verify compliance with network standards, identify improvement opportunities, support new site launches and process implementations, and promote safe, efficient, and standardized operating practices across the region.

The salary range above represents the national range for this position.
