Job description

The Senior Leadership Development Service Trainer plays a lead role driving leadership excellence and team effectiveness through leadership development programs and customized solutions that support organizational goals and learning and development strategies. This position will help lead leadership development programs, such as the Service Manager Development Program, and work with an assigned group of leaders to assist with leadership, team and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and facilitation of leadership development training for current service managers and high potential fixed department candidates
  • Helps support the Guest Centric training program when needed by providing training to Asbury team members. This includes proficiency in both the โ€˜Week 1โ€™ and โ€˜Service Advisorโ€™ curriculum.
  • Assesses the impact of training by tracking key metrics and recommend improvements to enhance the program
  • Works with store management and regional fixed leaders to identify improvement opportunities to deliver an exceptional guest experience enhancing team member engagement
  • Supports store managers in the implementation of leadership and team effectiveness topics within store locations
  • Serves as an internal coach and consultant to service managers and fixed people leaders to support their growth and development in the areas of leadership development, servant leadership and team member engagement
  • Partners with leaders to develop customized leadership development, team effectiveness and organizational effectiveness solutions that help meet business needs to improve team and leadership performance
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization
  • Ability to clearly articulate Asburyโ€™s Mission, Vision, Values and expectations
  • Knowledgeable in latest Asbury technology

Education & Experience

  • Experience in training or coaching leaders in a retail, guest-facing environment is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong consultative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to moderate large groups while engaging audience
  • At least 2-3 years of experience training and coaching leaders
  • 3+ years of experience as an Active Service Manager/Director
  • Fully conversant and able to work in all Microsoft Office Programs
  • Able to explain complex automotive theories in a simple, understandable manner to trainees
