Job description

The Fixed Assets Analyst is responsible for the financial management of the company's global asset base. This role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of capital projects and fixed assets-from initial project approval and capitalization to depreciation, disposals, and retirements. As the SAP subledger subject matter expert, you will ensure that all capital expenditures are recorded accurately, in compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supported by a robust internal control environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 4+ years in public accounting, large organization, or publicly traded company

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience applying GAAP

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements, work independently, and think objectively

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial partners

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Diligent and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment, with the expectation of increasing responsibility and scope over time as proficiency in the position develops

Responsibilities

  • This role will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of capital projects and fixed asset management-from project initiation and capitalization through depreciation, disposals, retirements and payments

  • Conduct variance analysis of actual results versus budget and forecast

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 360 - Property, Plant & Equipment) and company accounting policies

  • Should be detail-oriented, self-starter looking for a meaningful opportunity to manage, organize, and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines and cross-functionally providing on-time deliverables for the Finance team

  • Act as the subject matter expert on the utilization of the SAP fixed asset system/subledger.

  • Prepare and review monthly close activities including depreciation, impairment analysis, reconciliations, and rollforwards

  • Support preparation of quarterly/annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures

  • Maintain strong SOX-compliant controls around fixed asset processes, including reconciliations, approvals, and system security

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Tax, Treasury, Operations, FP&A, and External Reporting to ensure accurate treatment of capital expenditures

  • Participate in other miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed.

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $66,375 and $97,350 per year. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
