Job description

This position ensures that complex project accounting transactions are properly recorded in the G/L and project subledger, and that the G/L and project subledger  balances are accurately rolled forward, reflecting all periodic addition, disposal and transfer activity.  Additionally,  this position is responsible for explaining balance sheet fluctuations from one period to another and providing assistance to key business partners such as Finance, Engineering, Maintenance and IT. This position will also ensure all impairments identified are properly accounted for in the subledger and general ledger.


  • Process and review capitalization projects in the project accounting subledger including project subledger close and project and task setup for assigned projects
  • Record all impairment activity in the fixed asset subledger and maintain CIP impairment
  • Support business partner's reporting needs and capitalization inquiries
  • Assist with month-end closing of the general ledger, prepare monthly journal entries and evaluate account balances including preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review reporting of periodic acitivity in all CIP accounts for completeness and accuracy and perform reconciliations
  • Perform routine flucuation analysis and Ad-Hoc analysis as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting schedules

  • 2-4 years accounting transaction experience using medium to large integrated software system
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • Robust Excel capabilities
  • Strong organization and written communication skills
  • Public Accounting Experience is preferred
  • CPA or MBA is preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting is preferred

Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center (RSC) (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017), or at other location(s) as designated by the Company. You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Onsite

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
