Job description

Job Title:         Supervisor 

Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration:         12 months

Location:         Milan, IL 61264

Shift:                2nd shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, possible OT incl. Saturdays)

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise production, maintenance, and/or warehouse staff
  • Drive safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals
  • Monitor production plans and resolve workmanship issues
  • Enforce safety rules and lead injury prevention actions
  • Manage employee performance and discipline when needed
  • Ensure training, tools, and work instructions are provided
  • Lead continuous improvement and cost control efforts
  • Coordinate equipment and facility maintenance
Must Have
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in shop floor manufacturing or warehouse operations
  • Proven team leadership ability
  • Cross-functional communication (engineering, HR, supply, ops)
  • Flexibility to work across shifts if required
Nice to Have
  • Experience with continuous improvement pay plans (CIPP)
