DuPont is seeking a First Line Supervisor (FLS) to lead an operational team in a manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met. The role is central to DuPont's mission of delivering essential innovations and protecting people and the environment.
Core Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Provide direct leadership for assigned production or manufacturing support areas, aligning with core values such as safety, environmental stewardship, respect for people, and ethical behavior.
  • Shift Management: Plan and optimize shift activities, resources, and schedules to meet production goals; coordinate with business leadership and supply chain to meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Performance & Quality: Communicate and implement site directions; monitor and report on safety, production, quality, and maintenance metrics; drive corrective actions for performance shortfalls.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety) standards, policies, and procedures; conduct safety audits and hazard identification.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives such as 5S, waste elimination, and root cause analysis to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Team Development: Empower employees, foster accountability, and support training and qualification of operators; address personnel issues on shift.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Partner with maintenance teams to schedule work, prepare equipment for maintenance, and ensure safe return to operation.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain production schedules, update procedures, and complete required documentation.

  • Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night), Wed-Fri.
  • Locations: Wilmington, Il (Spray Polyurethane)
  • Work Type: Plant-based manufacturing role.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing environment preferred
