First Baptist Church of Eureka (Eureka,MT) - Pastor
First Baptist Church of Eureka, MT (https://www.fbceureka.org) is seeking a pastor who will collaborate with the congregation and Diaconate and develop a path forward for the church together. We seek a pastor with the ability to lead us in living out our congregational strengths to the glory of God - worship in Christ's love, deepening Christian fellowship within the church, and bringing others to Christ through involvement in the community.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead Sunday worship; engage in preaching, teaching, and directing the general activities of the church in order to fulfill the church's mission as set forth in the New Testament.
โ€ข Care of the general spiritual welfare of the congregation.
โ€ข Work collaboratively with the Diaconate and Trustees
โ€ข Hire and supervise non-elected church staff
Qualifications
โ€ข Theological education, graduate level preferred
โ€ข Lead pastor experience
โ€ข Is or willing to be ordained with Mission Northwest
Expectations
โ€ข Values involvement in the community through the local ministerial association and attendance at community functions
โ€ข Becomes a pastor for the community
โ€ข Comfortable with praying with others, visitation, and flexible hours
โ€ข Uses different styles of preaching (expository and topical, for example)
โ€ข Build consensus to lead the boards and the congregation
โ€ข Delegate responsibility and authority as appropriate
โ€ข Communicates with transparency
