We are seeking an experienced Fire Service Supervisor with ideally a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the fire service industry. The ideal candidate will possess NICET certifications and will be responsible for managing a team of field employees to execute routine life safety testing and inspections. What will you do

In this role, you will supervise and lead a team of field employees in performing troubleshooting and repairs of life safety systems. You will be responsible for interpreting construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NFPA 25, NFPA 101, and NFPA 13, while demonstrating knowledge of fire alarm systems and fundamentals, as well as a working understanding of fire sprinkler systems. Your focus will be on developing and implementing strategies to solve complex problems and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, you will foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional development among team members. You will manage project timelines to ensure that all testing and inspection services are completed within established deadlines, while also maintaining P&L responsibilities and accurately forecasting monthly revenues and expenses. Providing exceptional customer service is essential, as you will address client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team. Conducting performance evaluations and offering coaching and mentorship to team members will support their growth and development.

How you will do it

  • Revenue responsibility - Implement plans, programs, and processes to meet and exceed corporate goals and maximize market potential for the service business including new bookings (sales), revenue, and profitability.
  • Customer Satisfaction - Maintain effective communication and build solid relationships with customers from initial contact through order acquisition, delivery, installation, and service. Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled, quickly resolve customer complaints, and enhance relations.
  • Productivity Improvement - Set fair and manageable territories for technicians, assign effective performance measurements, and motivate employees to exceed their goals utilizing management tools. Additionally, train all clerical and dispatch personnel on job procedures including our CRM system.
  • Safety Compliance - Ensure all employees comply with corporate safety programs, maintain up-to-date safety training, and identify safety issues, notifying the corporate safety office of required corrective actions.

What we look for

Required

  • Understanding and knowledge of various fire alarm system components, including detectors, panels, and notification devices, from various manufacturers.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities including training, team building, presentation, negotiation skills, and effective customer interaction.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications related to fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of jurisdictional fire code in Richmond and surrounding counties including Joint Commission standards.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of supervisory experience.
  • Availability for local/regional travel, including nights and weekends as needed.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,100-90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
