Phoenix Fire Protection in Visalia is currently seeking skilled candidates to fill a Fire Service Technician position with our company.
-We are seeking a highly motivated individual with high energy, enthusiasm, leadership and excellent communication skills.
-Personal characteristics required by the applicant are an exceptional work ethic, honesty, trustworthiness and reliability.
-Responsibilities include ensuring proper working fire equipment, testing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing fire detection and suppression systems in the Central Valley. Other duties would include maintenance on fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with applicable codes.
-Sales experience and mechanical skills helpful.
Must have a valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.

List of some of the tasks performed by a Fire Service Technician during service: 

Routine Fire Suppression services include: 

  • Semi-Annual Maintenance Inspection.
  • Clean linkage scissors, install fuse links.
  • Clean nozzles, install blow off caps.
  • Nozzles and appliances line up correctly.
  • Clean cylinder, check required pressure.
  • Weigh/replace co2/nitrogen cartridge.
  • Empty Ansul tanks inspect interior and chemical.
  • Check exhaust fan operation. 
Routine Extinguisher services include: 

  • Annual Maintenance Inspection
  • Hydrostatic Testing 6/12 year intervals
  • Recharge
