Job description

Wachter is growing, and we are looking for experienced NICET-certified Fire Alarm Field Engineers to support one of the largest national retail programs in the country.
This is not your typical inspection role. You'll be a trusted technical expert in the field-validating installations, troubleshooting complex systems, ensuring quality standards, and partnering with teams to deliver reliable life safety solutions across high-profile customer environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform field inspections, system validation, and quality reviews of fire alarm installations
  • Troubleshoot and support EST / EST4 fire alarm systems
  • Partner with project teams, technicians, customers, and contractors to resolve technical challenges
  • Ensure installations meet customer expectations, code requirements, and Wachter quality standards
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Travel within an assigned region supporting national account locations

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • NICET Fire Alarm Certification preferred
  • Hands-on fire alarm installation, service, commissioning, or inspection experience
  • Strong knowledge of EST / EST4 systems (preferred)
  • Ability to diagnose issues and provide solutions in the field
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and internal teams
  • Self-driven professional who enjoys ownership and problem-solving
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed
