Personnel Qualifications Standards (PQS) and Rate Training Manual (RTM) Analyst
Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate opening for a Personnel Qualifications Standards (PQS)/Rate Training Manual (RTM) Analyst to support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) in San Diego, CA.
Job Description:
  • Provides analysis support in the drafting and updating of PQS requirements and RTM documentation
  • Assists in implementation of PQS and RTM requirements introduction as part of USN surface training efforts
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of surface combat system PQS, RTM, and Non-Resident Training Courses
  • Applies operational and system rating expertise in properly categorizing and developing PQS and RTM requirements
Qualifications:
  • Must have 6 years U.S. Navy experience with recent operational experience in a Surface Combat Systems ratings (Fire Controlman, Fire Controlman Aegis, Gunners Mate, Electronics Technician, Interior Communications, Boatswain's Mate, Operations Specialist, Sonar Technician, or Mineman)
  • Must have recent operational experience on board a U.S. Navy Surface Force ship class (DDG-51, DDG-1000, CG, CVN, LPD, LSD, LCS, LHD and MCM).
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience and proficiency in the use of new and emerging technology, e.g., AI., preferred.
Security Requirements:
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance.
Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal travel required.
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Work generally performed in an office setting but may require occasional visits to industrial or shipboard settings.
  • Will normally require minor lifting and carrying of boxes of supplies/equipment.
