We are seeking full time teachers who are experienced working with children from infancy through school age, who are exceptional, dedicated, fun, and ready to make a difference. As a teacher/teacher assistant you will plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities based on curriculum and learning objectives. Assist with small group and whole-group instruction. Assist in setting up and help guide learning centers, circle time, and structured play activities. Support children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Encourage kindness, cooperation, and independence. Help children build positive relationships and problem-solving skills. Provide one-on-one attention when needed. Supervise indoor and outdoor play, transitions, and diapering/bathroom routines. Be able to implement conscious discipline strategies. Demonstrate appropriate language, manners, and conflict resolution strategies. You must be able to communicate effectively with both parents and staff on a daily basis. Share updates, concerns, and milestones as appropriate. Step in to assist with other classroom needs as necessary. You will maintain a learning environment that is clean, safe and inviting for all of our learners. Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations. We have a 7 month mentorship with the option to extend. We offer an Apprenticeship Program to further your Early Chilhood Education. Our administration is present and supportive of all teachers. We are a family-friendly work environment. You will need to participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and ongoing learning opportunities and above all be a team player.
Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • CDA, Associate's Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or working toward completion. (Preferred not required)
  • A minimum 6 months working in a licensed child care center.
  • Ability to meet all licensing requirements-DSS background check, medical assessment, TB test
  • Be NSC First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Be able to work Monday - Friday 7am to 5:30pm (shift depends on necessity)
  • Positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills
